The area around the Market Cross will be closed of for a further day on Monday 11th August to allow DOFF Cleaning to be completed to the lower tiers.
This is a specialised cleaning process that uses high-temperature steam to remove various types of dirt, grime, and biological matter from surfaces, particularly buildings and historical structures. The cleaning will allow for a fuller assessment of repointing works required, which will be the next stage.
The cordoned off area will be the same as previously. The Parish Council would like to extend their thanks to Market Place residents, businesses and users for their patience while these works are ongoing.
