We are the level of Government nearest to you and provide a number of services including maintaining open spaces, streetlamps, Upper Lambourn Cemetery, the Memorial hall and a lot more. Find out here what we do.
We have set out to answer the questions which are most frequently asked. Please take a look and do let us know if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Our councillors represent the residents of Lambourn. You can contact us with your issues and we will do our best to address them if they fall into our remit. Here you can find out who is your councillor and how to contact them.
We are funded principally through an annual precept which is part of the council tax levied on local taxpayers. We use this and other income to fund the administration of the council and to provide additional local services to enhance those already provided by West Berkshire Council.
We discuss planning applications and pass our recommendation on to the West Berkshire Planning Department. Here you can find out more about planning and the role of the parish council.
To run the council we have a series of documents to guide us and to share information with you. See our Policies, Procedures, Meeting Minutes, Forms, Accounts and much more here.
Through a working group we are creating a Neighbourhood Development Plan. Find out here about the plan, what we hope to achieve and the timeliene for the project.
