We have a main committee, called Full Council, this meets on the first Wednesday of every month. All Councillors are called to participate at this meeting. The Full Council Committee can delegate some of its statutory functions (responsibilities assigned to a Parish Council in legislation) to one or more committees.
Parish Council meetings are led by the Council’s or Committee Chair and are advised by the Clerk who is there to see that business is conducted within the framework of how Parish Councils should be run.

Finance Committee
This Committee meets four times a year and acts on behalf of the Parish Council in respect of all aspects of finance, budgeting and risk assessment whilst adhering to the Parish Council’s legislation and guidance.

Burials, Open Spaces and Allotment Committee (BOSA)
This Committee meets four times a year and is formed to ensure the Parish Council complies with the requirements of risk assessment and governance of burials (both open and closed cemeteries) and public open spaces. Allotments are run by the Allotment Society which will have a Lambourn Parish Council representative on the Committee.

Hall and Street Lighting Committee
This Committee meets three times a year and acts on behalf of the Parish Council in respect of all aspects of maintenance, risk assessment, and letting of the Memorial Hall as well as streetlights (maintenance and upgrades), the Friday Market, and grit bins.

Racing Committee
This Committee meets once a year and is formed to ensure the Council maintains a working relationship with the Racing industry. This is a liaison committee which ensures that local Racing concerns are addressed and discussed before proposals are put before the Parish Council.

Staffing Committee
This Committee meets three times a year an will act on behalf of the Parish Council in respect of all aspects of staffing and ensure adherence by the Parish Council to all employee legislation and guidance.
Press and Public will not be admitted to these meetings as “In accordance with s1 (2) of the Public Bodies (Admission to Meetings) Act 1960 the Press and Public may be excluded from the meeting during consideration of these items due to their confidential nature”.
