Lambourn Parish Council is proud to support the Community Speedwatch program, a national initiative that empowers residents to work alongside the police to tackle speeding in our community.

How it Works:
- Trained volunteers use approved devices to monitor traffic speeds.
- Drivers exceeding the limit will receive an initial warning letter highlighting the dangers of speeding.
- Persistent offenders may receive a visit from the police or further action.
Benefits:
- Improves safety for everyone on our roads, especially pedestrians and horse riders using narrow lanes.
- Creates a sense of community involvement and shared responsibility.
- Works alongside the police, making the best use of resources.
This is not about punishment, but about education and keeping our village a safe and enjoyable place for all.
