A message from West Berkshire Council regarding the route of the no.47 bus during the Upper Lambourn Road Closure.
Dear Lambourn Parish Council,
Upper Lambourn Road will be closed from the 5 May to 8 May 2026 between the junctions of Uplands Lane and B4000 Baydon Road. The closure operating hours for each day will 1200 to 2200 hours.
During the time when the road is closed the 47-bus operated by West Berkshire Council running between Lambourn and Swindon will divert and unfortunately will be unable to serve Parsonage Lane/ Upper Lambourn.
The 1200 departure from Lambourn Market place will depart at 11:50 during the closure but again will not serve Upper Lambourn.
The 1705 departure will go direct to Swindon via Baydon Road and will not serve Upper Lambourn, Ashbury, Bishopstone, Idstone, Hinton Parva and Wanborough.
Please accept our apologies for any disruption this will cause to journeys, unfortunately the bus was not allowed access through this closure.
