Call for Sites
West Berkshire Council has launched a “Call for Sites” as part of the early stages of preparing a new Local Plan for the district.
This process invites landowners, developers and residents to suggest land that might be suitable for future development, such as housing, employment space, or community uses. Sites can be put forward from anywhere in the district, including within and around Lambourn.
It is important to note that putting forward a site does not mean it will be developed. All submitted sites will be assessed by the West Berkshire Council as part of the evidence base for the Local Plan.
Lambourn Parish Council is sharing this information so that residents and local landowners are aware of the opportunity to take part.
The Call for Sites has been extended to 11:59 pm on Monday, 13 April 2026.
Further information and details of how to submit a site can be found on the West Berkshire Council website, along with an online submission form: https://westberks.gov.uk/call-for-sites.
The form asks for a range of information, grouped into the following categories:
- Landowner details
- Site details, eg. location, existing uses, adjacent uses
- Proposed use
- Site constraints, eg. access issues, flood risk.
- Site availability, eg. when is site likely to be available for development?
- Site achievability, eg. leasehold interests, legal considerations
