Following our Extraordinary General Meeting on 21st September 2026, Lambourn Parish Council has arranged temporary administrative cover.  A serving councillor has stepped forward on a voluntary basis to act as interim Proper Officer and Responsible Financial Officer (RFO) while we recruit a permanent Parish Clerk.

Our Focus Over the Coming Weeks

To ensure a smooth transition, our focus during this interim period will be:

  • Keeping essential council business and public meetings running seamlessly.
  • Maintaining up-to-date financial accounting and completing routine statutory filings.
  • Re-advertising and progressing the recruitment process for a permanent Clerk and RFO.

Getting in Touch

We want to ensure every enquiry reaches the right place and is handled as effectively as possible.  To help us manage this voluntary workload smoothly, we kindly ask residents to keep the following in mind:

  • Official Enquiries – please direct all parish communications, meeting requests, and formal correspondence to our central email address: info@lambourn-pc.gov.uk
  • Response Times – because administrative duties are being carried out on a voluntary basis alongside existing councillor responsibilities, non-urgent enquiries may take slightly longer than usual to address. We greatly appreciate your patience while this temporary arrangement is in place.
  • Services Handled by West Berkshire Council – for local services managed directly by the principal authority—such as highways, road maintenance, waste collection, planning applications and public rights of way—the quickest route to resolution is directly via West Berkshire Council at westberks.gov.uk or by calling 01635 551111.

Thank you for your support and understanding as we work to recruit a permanent Parish Clerk and restore long term administrative stability for Lambourn.
