West Berkshire Council are able to provide a minibus service at around 11:00 to serve residents of these villages. You will need to phone by 10:00 on the day you wish to travel – 01635 503491. Pick up location can be agreed. The return journey would be around 14:00 (confirmed on the day)
Newbury Road – East Garston, will be closed on the 13th to the 17th February 2023, (during school holidays) between its junction with Rogers Lane and its junction with Road known as Straight Lane. (Access to Westfield vets will be maintained at all times).
An alternative route is via – Road known as Hungerford Hill (A338), Ermin St (B4000), Hungerford Hill (B4000) and vice versa.
The purpose of this closure is for a new Sewer main to be installed within the highway.
Residential access will be maintained throughout and the diversion will be signed on site.
Please Note: Blue light access will be via the diversion route only.
