Newbury Road, Eastbury in the Parish of Lambourn will be closed from 5th to 7th June 2024. The extent of the closure is detailed in phases below.
Phase 1 – From 09:30 to 15:30 hours on 5th June 2024 the closure will be between its junction with Downs Close and its junctions with Station Lane. The traffic management from 15:30 hours will be give and take pending reinstatement.
Phase 2 – From 6th June 2024 the closure will be between its junction with Long Hedge and its junction with The Hermitage. The closure will remain in place overnight and will be lifted once reinstatement is completed during the course of the morning of 7th June 2024.
Phase 3 – Following completion of Phase 2 the closure will be reinstated between its junction with Downs Close and its junction with Station Lane to complete the works and the road will reopen by 15:30 hours on 7th June 2024.
An alternative route is via Newbury Road, Newbury Street, High Street, Hungerford Hill (B4000), Ermin Street (B4000), Hungerford Hill (A338), Newbury Road (A338), Church Street, Newbury Road and vice versa.
The purpose of this closure is to enable Openreach to repair a defect on previous works.
Residential access will be maintained throughout, and the diversion will be signed on site.
