The Parish Council are hoping to make improvements to the Mill Lane Play Area and among the ideas under discussion is the planting of several silver birch trees, some along the hedge line and others in the play area to soften the view and provide some much-needed shade in the summer.
The cost per Silver Birch is £290 and this includes the tree, planting and watering during the first season while the tree becomes established. As funds are limited the Parish Council want to ask members of the public whether there is any interest among individuals in sponsoring a Silver Birch as a ‘Tree of Remembrance’.
