West Berkshire Council are currently undertaking a consultation for their budget review proposal for 2024/2025. The proposals include:
- Paying for parking in the Lambourn High Street car park (Monday to Sunday, Up to 4 hours £1.00, Over 4 hours £2.00, Evening Charge £1.00) – click here
- Reducing maintenance of highway grass verges and small open spaces eg The Granthams, Mill Lane, Oxford Street from 7 cuts to 2 a year – click here
- Removing 12 litter bins in Lambourn – click here for locations
- Reducing gully emptying (which could lead to more or ongoing localised flooding) – click here
To give you an opportunity to find out more about these cuts and ask any questions you may have, West Berkshire Council are hosting drop in sessions. The first session will be next Tuesday, 12 December at Hungerford Leisure Centre.
Councillor Lee Dillon, Leader of West Berkshire Council and Councillor Iain Cottingham, Executive Member for Finance, will be there from 5:30-7:30pm to answer any questions you may have about the proposals. They will have physical copies of the consultations available to take away. You can find the consultations online.
