Could you be the Clerk to Lambourn Parish Council?
This an exciting opportunity to become part of an active Parish Council in West Berkshire.
Lambourn Parish Council is a busy, proactive council. We are seeking a highly motivated individual to become our next Clerk, to assist the Council in making decisions and help lead us into the future. The successful candidate will need to be able to provide leadership, and build a wide range of positive relationships with Councillors, staff and partner organisations across the public, private and voluntary sectors.
This is a real opportunity for an experienced and solution-focused manager, who has an eye for detail, and who will collaborate with Councillors to meet the aspirations of the people of Lambourn.
The role involves advising the Parish Council, administration, accounts, attendance at meetings and supervision of the Parish Council’s Part-time Assistant Clerk and three support staff.
You may be an experienced Clerk or a Deputy Clerk ready to move up. However, you may also have a successful background in Local Government or the private/voluntary sectors and be prepared to study for CiLCA within 12 months of your appointment.
The post is part-time (30 hours per week), the salary range will be £28,000 to £38,000 (FTE) depending on experience. There will be some evening meeting attendance required. This role has the possibly to be a hybrid position.
