If you wish to nominate yourself you need to collect the nomination papers from West Berkshire Council in Newbury and submit them by the date set out in the notice. If there is only one nomination then you will be appointed (subject to you meeting the qualifying criteria). If more than one candidate is nominated then an election will take place on Thursday,12th January 2023.

- Nomination papers must be delivered to the Returning Officer, West Berkshire Council, Council Offices, Market Street, Newbury, RG14 5LD on any day after the date of this notice, on Monday to Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (excluding bank holidays) but no later than 4 pm on Tuesday 13th December 2022.
- Forms of nomination for the Parish Election may be obtained from Clerk to Parish Council or West Berkshire Council, Council Offices, Market Street, Newbury, RG14 5LD from the Returning Officer who will, at the request of an elector for any electoral area prepare a nomination paper for signature.
- If any election is contested the poll will take place on Thursday 12th January 2023.
- Applications to register to vote must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 12 midnight on Thursday 22nd December 2022. Applications can be made online: https://www.gov.uk/register-to-vote.
- Applications, amendments or cancellations of postal votes and amendments or cancellations of proxy votes must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at West Berkshire Council, Council Offices, Market Street, Newbury, RG14 5LD by 5 pm on Friday 23rd December 2022.
- New applications to vote by proxy at this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at West Berkshire Council, Council Offices, Market Street, Newbury, RG14 5LD by 5 pm on Wednesday 4th January 2023.
- Applications to vote by emergency proxy at this election on the grounds of physical incapacity or for work/service reasons must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at West Berkshire Council, Council Offices, Market Street, Newbury, RG14 5LD by 5 pm on Thursday, 12th January 2023 The physical incapacity must have occurred after 5 pm on Wednesday, 4th January 2023. To apply on the grounds of work/service, the person must have become aware that they cannot go to the polling station in person after 5 pm on Wednesday, 4th January 2023.
