You may have noticed that dog waste and litter bins are not being emptied as often as needed at the moment.
Lambourn Parish Council pay West Berkshire Council for their contractors to empty the litter bins in the open spaces of Eastbury Playground, the Old Cricket Field and Mill Lane Playground. All other litter bins are the direct responsibility of West Berkshire Council.
We also contract the services of West Berkshire Council to empty the dog waste bins once a week.
West Berkshire Council have new contractors for these services and there are a few teething problems with the handover. Please bear with us, we are investigating this and working with West Berks to ensure a regular system of emptying is in place.
