Dear Residents,

I am writing to you to provide you with an update regarding the break in our foul water sewer
located close by to the new rising main installation along Newbury Road near to the Queens
Arms pub.
As you may already be aware, we have many tankers currently working in the valley helping
to manage the sewer flows. Our crews are monitoring the foul water sewer levels so once
they are reduced and consistent the pumping stations located at Bockhampton and
Membury can both be switched off. Once the levels are maintained and the pumping stations
have been switched off our repair works are able to start safely.
Our tanker vehicles may be using their warning beacons, for health and safety reasons
whilst they are pumping the wastewater into their vehicles 24/7 a day. We want to apologise
for any disturbance this may cause and thank you for your continued patience and
understanding at this time.

How this will affect you
We’d like to reassure you that your drinking water and your wastewater services will not be
affected – you’ll be able to use water and flush your toilet as normal.

We’re here to help
If you have any questions, please call our 24-hour customer centre on 0800 316 9800
