Committee to review the current 2022-23 Finance report.

Mill Lane Upgrade progress update from The Chair
Proposal to consider costs for watering new hedge whips in the first season.
Proposal to minute agreement of spending on removal of metal fence and vegetation agreed by quorate email on 6/2/23.
Assistant Clerk to report back on vegetation screening suggestions for the rear of the park.
30. BOSA TRACKER REVIEW
Proposal for the Committee to review the Tracker and reach decisions where required.
31. CEMETERY FEES
Proposal for the Committee to review Cemetery fees for 2023-24. And consider a suggestion from the Locum Clerk that the Parish Council charge for Plot Number Searches and Deed Transfers at rates of £15 and £35 respectively.
Proposal to accept that the Parish Council should liaise directly with the gravedigger following Scofell’s decision to decline the gravedigging tender.
32. CEMETERY REGULATIONS
Proposal to amend Cemetery Regulations to clearly state the allowance of two coffin burials and up to four sets of cremated remains per double plot, with the proviso that when cremated remains are buried after the first coffin burial then a second coffin burial cannot take place.
33. CEMETERY WORKING PARTY
Proposal to accept an outline plan for Cemetery clearance and form a working party.
34. PLAYGROUND INSPECTIONS
Proposal for the Committee to accept costs £68.50 + VAT per site per visit from the Play Inspection Company for the bi-annual inspections. Total annual fee £410 + VAT.
West Berkshire Council don’t yet have 2023 prices but only offer annual or quarterly inspection options.
Proposal for the Committee to consider whether the assistant Clerk should receive training in undertaking the weekly routine inspections from a qualified provider at a cost of ROSPA 1 day course £320 + VAT + Optional exam £110 + VAT.

Proposal for the Committee to consider whether further dog bins should be removed from the current list of seventeen.
37. EASTBURY FURZE BINS
Proposal to discuss the two waste bins at Eastbury Furze and a quoted cost from West Berkshire Council of £272.33 per annum + VAT plus 10% service charge.
