There have been problems for a number of weeks where cards are being retained by the cashpoint. There is an engineer on site today and further investigations are being undertaken by the provider Cash Zone.
Cash Zone have confirmed that The Co-op do not have permission to place an out of order sign on the cashpoint in the event of it not working. In the unfortunate event of having an issue with the cashpoint, please call Cash Zone on: 0800 028 6923 – the more calls they receive, the more likely they are to respond to the problem.
When calling, you will hear an automated message asking you to contact your bank for retained cards but it then gives the option to continue holding to speak to an operator.
They have escalated the issue with the cashpoint as the customer services representative could see there has been a significant number of calls over the past few weeks.
